A · Data Collection and Graphing
Correct answer: B. 0.6 per minute
Rate is the count divided by observation time: 12 ÷ 20 = 0.6 hand raises per minute. The count alone is 12; the observation lasted 20 minutes.
B · Behavior Assessment
Correct answer: C. The puzzle was preferred among the options offered
The observation identifies a preference under those assessment conditions. Calling the puzzle a reinforcer requires evidence that access to it increases the behavior it follows.
C · Behavior Acquisition
Correct answer: A. Positive reinforcement
A token is added after the response, and the response becomes more likely across sessions. That observed increase, rather than the intention to reward, is what supports calling the process positive reinforcement.
D · Behavior Reduction
Correct answer: D. The worksheet was removed
The consequence is the event recorded after the behavior: removal of the worksheet. One ABC sequence describes what happened; it does not by itself establish the function of the behavior.
E · Documentation and Reporting
Correct answer: B. The learner selected the matching card after a gestural prompt
The note identifies the observable response and the help provided. The other options infer motives or describe a person with a judgment rather than record what was observed.
F · Ethics
Correct answer: C. Ask the responsible supervisor to clarify the step before carrying it out
The RBT seeks clarification from the responsible supervisor instead of independently changing or inventing a procedure. Recording work that did not occur would also make the session record inaccurate.
