The research the design is built from

INTERLAZA was conceived at the intersection of behavioral science and software engineering, designed to bring decades of peer-reviewed research into a practical clinical tool. Its exercise types, prompting procedures and mastery criteria are built from procedures described in that literature — which is not the same as saying the platform itself has been trialled. It has not, and the Why we do it page sets out what that does and does not license us to claim.

The platform's foundations rest on the pioneering work of researchers who dedicated their careers to understanding how children learn symbolic relationships. The methodology is grounded in the peer-reviewed work of Julio Varela, Murray Sidman, and other foundational ABA researchers.

Interlaza brings methods that are normally studied separately into one session. They all write to the same response history, so an Instructor can compare the results without stitching records together by hand.

Evidence-based adaptive learning tools for every student

Behavioral learning literature contains useful but distinct methods. The access problem is translating them into workflows that preserve their boundaries: equivalence training is not a Varela transfer probe, and BKT pacing is not a theory of the child.

INTERLAZA's mission is to make structured teaching, and measurement you can check, usable by Instructors and families. The software handles sequence and recording; the adult chooses meaningful goals, reads the setting and decides what the evidence supports.

Access is also about reuse. The Community Store lets eligible Instructors share editable pathways with author and configuration visible. A clone is a starting point to inspect and adapt, never evidence that a pathway fits a learner.
